Have you reached the final security screen ofEscape Prison, faced with a complex network of 16 spheres connected by black cables, watching the completion percentage fluctuate erratically without ever hitting 100%? You are not alone: this puzzle stopped even the most seasoned walkthrough creators on YouTube in their tracks. In thisthird and final installment of our guide, we reveal the mathematical rules governing the puzzle and the strategic method to unlock the main gate and win your freedom!

The climactic puzzle requires balancing the entire electric grid of the facility.
The Hidden Mechanism: Modulo-3 Traffic Light Cycles
In the game’s core architecture (theTrafficLightsystem), each sphere functions exactly like a three-phase cyclic signal:
When you click any sphere on the board:
- The clicked sphere advances by+1 phase(Green becomes Yellow, Yellow becomes Red, Red loops back to Green).
- Every single sphere directly connected to it by a cable advances by +1 phase simultaneously!
3 Critical Traps to Avoid
Almost every stuck player falls victim to one of three common misconceptions:
- The Triple-Click Trap:Because the system operates in modulo 3, clicking any sphere 3 times equals $+3 \equiv 0 \pmod 3$, whichresets the node and all connected neighbors back to their exact starting state! Never click any sphere more than twice.
- The “Time Limit” Myth:There is no countdown timer and no strict chronological sequence. Clicking sphere A and then sphere B yields the exact same state as clicking B and then A ($A + B = B + A$).
- Random Button Mashing (“Brute Force”):Frantically tapping spheres in hope of seeing the percentage rise merely introduces chaotic entropy. Every move must be planned by reading cable connections.
The Winning Strategy: “Chase the Lights” Inward
To bring the entire network to 100% Green quickly and systematically, apply this proven method:
1. Calculate the “Color Deficit”
– If a sphere isRed, it requires1 pulse (+1)to turn Green.
– If a sphere isYellow, it requires2 pulses (+2)to turn Green.
– If a sphere is alreadyGreen, it should receive zero pulses (or a multiple of 3).
2. Start with Outer Low-Degree Nodes (Corners & Edges)
Inspect the four corner spheres first: each is connected to only 1 or 2 cables. If a corner sphere is Red, click its connected neighbor to deliver the required pulse without disturbing solved perimeter lines.
3. Converge Toward the 4 Central Hubs
By working from the outer edges inward, you “push” all non-green states towards the 4 central hub nodes. Once the outer rim is stabilized on Green, 1 or 2 calculated clicks on the central hubs will snap the entire 16-node board into solid Green simultaneously!
As soon as the 16th sphere turns green, the progress indicator locks onto100%, the prison security lockdown shuts down, and the heavy exterior gate slides open—securing your escape and beatingEscape Prison!
